Current status
Scientific positioning
MASTER 120™ is currently positioned as a theory-informed developmental assessment.
Its theoretical foundations and measurement architecture have been systematically developed, but strong psychometric, normative or predictive claims should be made only as supporting evidence becomes available.
The instrument manual explicitly states that reliability, structure, validity and norms remain to be empirically established and that future revisions should follow accumulated evidence.
Research participation
Participation is optional
Completing MASTER 120™ does not automatically mean agreeing to research participation.
Participants should be offered separate choices for:
- required service processing
- optional de-identified research use
- optional pseudonymous linkage across assessment versions
- optional retest or longitudinal contact
- optional invitations to future research studies
Declining research participation must not affect:
- assessment completion
- report access
- purchase
- upgrades
- support
Researchers and universities
Collaborate with MASTER Research™
Universities, research institutions and qualified researchers may apply to participate in approved studies.
Research access may require:
- institutional affiliation
- project description
- ethics approval or status
- requested variables
- intended analysis
- data-use agreement
- access period
- secure researcher account
- manual approval
Researchers should receive only the variables and records approved for the relevant project.
They must not receive direct participant identifiers, private coaching notes, unrestricted reports or data beyond the scope of the approved study.
